Lara Keegan
BA(Hons), MPhil, PGDip Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling
I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and a registered member
of PACFA. As an integrative therapist, I draw from evidence-based approaches, Yogic
philosophy, and a deep understanding of the nervous system. I also bring my own lived
experience of doing the hard inner work — so I know how important it is to feel safe, seen,
and genuinely supported.
Coupled with my qualifications, I bring nearly twenty years’ experience of work in a variety of
settings including community mental health, disability, youth and family services. I work with
older teenagers (16+) and adults from all walks of life. I know that sometimes life pulls the
ground out from under you. Grief that reshapes you, relationship struggles, body shame,
identity changes, chronic illness, parenting stress — these are hard places to move through
alone.
I have a special interest in working with women and people who identify as female who are
navigating life’s edges including the deep transitions, the stuck places and the unseen parts.
I hold a nurturing space for mothers who are caught in the cycle of perfectionism, guilt and
self-judgement, and are struggling under the weight of unrealistic expectations — from the
world, and from themselves.

I have a deep respect for the inner wisdom of each person and the unique
approach that is needed. Therapy is relational, and I want you to feel that
you have found the right person - somebody who really gets you. Please
reach out for a free 15 minute chat where you can find out if my way of
working feels right for you.
