Merieke is a Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). She is
also a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Merieke provides therapeutic support to children (6+), adolescents, and adults. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the mental health sector in a variety of settings, and roles and working with a diverse range of clients. She also has experience working alongside governmental organisations such as Child Protection and Family Support, The Department of Justice and the Family Court.

In a nutshell, she aims to improve better connections within yourself and or with others. Merieke has a warm, curious and open approach, tailoring the support to the client’s needs and unique situation. She aims to provide a safe environment so that you feel comfortable enough to talk about anything that is important to you.
She strongly believes in empowering and strengthening people to find ways that they can thrive. Coming from a culturally different background she understands the importance of self-identity and respecting differences. For this reason, she works from a feedback-informed approach whereby she always will check how well she is providing support in the goals you and or your child want to achieve.
Merieke is skilled in the use of various therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, and Play Therapy.
Furthermore, she is a licenced Caring Dads facilitator, and has completed 60 hours certificate programs in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Somatic attachment therapy.
